Apple Crumble Jars

- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix diced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, nutmeg, and salt. Add the cold butter and use fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until crumbly.
- Spoon the apple mixture evenly into small oven-safe jars or ramekins.
- Top with the crumble mixture, pressing slightly to pack.
- Place jars on a baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and apples are bubbling.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
Notes
- Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for best flavor.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked before serving.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
