Avocado Mash

A simple and creamy avocado mash that’s perfect as a spread, dip, or side dish. Quick to make and packed with healthy fats.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (or lemon juice)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • Optional: 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon finely diced red onion

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. If using, stir in cilantro, garlic, and red onion for extra flavor.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a chunkier texture, mash lightly; for a smoother spread, mash thoroughly.
  • Use lemon juice if lime is unavailable.
  • To store, cover with plastic wrap directly touching the surface to prevent browning.
