Banana Bread with Nutella Swirl

A moist and flavorful banana bread with a rich Nutella swirl, perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Warm the Nutella slightly in the microwave for easier swirling, about 20 seconds.
  7. Spoon half of the Nutella over the batter and swirl with a knife.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top and repeat the Nutella swirl.
  9. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
  • Don’t overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
  • Warm Nutella makes it easier to swirl and distribute evenly.
