Banana Bread

A moist, sweet, and classic quick bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Add the flour and mix until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
  • You can add chocolate chips, walnuts, or cinnamon for extra flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
