BLT Galette

A savory twist on the classic BLT sandwich, this BLT Galette features a flaky pastry crust filled with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded romaine or butter lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth edges.
  3. Spread a mixture of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard over the center of the pastry, leaving a 1.5-inch border.
  4. Layer cheese, crumbled bacon, and cherry tomatoes over the spread.
  5. Fold the pastry edges over the filling, pleating as needed, leaving the center exposed.
  6. Brush the folded edges with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Top with shredded lettuce before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute arugula or spinach for lettuce if desired.
  • Add avocado slices for a richer flavor.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
