- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- 12 slider buns or dinner rolls
- 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
- 1/4 cup pickles (sliced)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- If using onions, sauté them in the same pan until soft and golden.
- Slice slider buns in half horizontally without separating them individually. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef evenly over the buns. Top with diced onions (if using), pickles, and slices of cheddar cheese.
- Drizzle ketchup and mustard over the cheese.
- Place the top halves of the buns on top. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar with American, Swiss, or pepper jack cheese for variety.
- Add lettuce or tomato after baking for a fresh crunch.
- Use Hawaiian rolls for a sweeter twist.
