- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the sugar with the cinnamon. Set aside.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Unroll the second can of dough and place it on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Refrigerate for best results.
Notes
- For extra crispness, broil the top for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching closely.
- Bars can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
