Churro Cheesecake Bars

Churro Cheesecake Bars combine the cinnamon-sugar crunch of churros with a rich, creamy cheesecake center for a decadent dessert bar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the sugar with the cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  6. Unroll the second can of dough and place it on top of the cream cheese layer.
  7. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough.
  8. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Refrigerate for best results.

Notes

  • For extra crispness, broil the top for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching closely.
  • Bars can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
