Creamy Garlic Chicken

A rich and flavorful creamy garlic chicken dish made with tender chicken breasts smothered in a luscious garlic cream sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  6. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or steamed vegetables.
