Frozen Banana Bites

Frozen banana bites are a simple, healthy, and refreshing treat made by coating banana slices in chocolate and freezing them for a delicious bite-sized snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter (optional, for filling)
  • 1/4 cup crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas into bite-sized rounds.
  2. If using nut butter, spread a small amount between two banana slices to make a ‘sandwich.’
  3. Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave or using a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Dip each banana slice (or sandwich) into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
  5. Place coated bananas on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle with crushed nuts, coconut, or sprinkles if desired.
  7. Freeze for at least 1–2 hours until firm.
  8. Serve straight from the freezer and enjoy.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • You can use white chocolate or milk chocolate as an alternative.
  • For a vegan option, ensure chocolate chips are dairy-free.
