Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a quick and flavorful dish made with succulent shrimp sautéed in garlic butter and tossed with pasta. Perfect for weeknight dinners or a special meal.

  • 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet, then add the cooked pasta. Toss to coat.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet, add lemon juice and Parmesan cheese. Toss everything together.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp; thaw before cooking if frozen.
  • Add more chili flakes if you prefer extra heat.
  • You can substitute spaghetti with any pasta of your choice.
