Garlic Butter Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish made with tender shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic and butter sauce. Perfect as an appetizer or main course, it pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes per side or until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately with your choice of side.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp; if frozen, thaw completely before cooking.
  • Adjust garlic and chili flakes to your taste preference.
