Guacamole with Tortilla Chips

A classic creamy guacamole dip made with fresh avocados, lime, and seasonings, served with crispy tortilla chips for dipping. Perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 12 jalapeños, finely chopped (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 bag tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth but slightly chunky.
  3. Add the onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, and garlic to the bowl.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then mix gently until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add a tablespoon of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  • To keep guacamole from browning, cover tightly with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
  • Best served fresh within a few hours of making.
