Guacamole with Tortilla Chips

A classic Mexican appetizer made with creamy avocado guacamole served alongside crispy tortilla chips for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 12 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bag tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth but slightly chunky.
  3. Add the chopped onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, garlic, and cilantro to the bowl.
  4. Stir in lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  6. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cumin or smoked paprika.
  • Keep guacamole fresh by covering tightly with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to avoid browning.
  • Best served immediately, but can be refrigerated for up to 1 day.
