- 3 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted

- 1 lime, juiced

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup diced onion

- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

- 2 roma tomatoes, diced

- 1 teaspoon minced garlic

- 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

- In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with a fork until mostly smooth but slightly chunky.

- Add lime juice and salt, and mix to combine.

- Stir in the onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic until well incorporated.

- If desired, add cayenne pepper for extra heat.

- Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

		Notes

- For extra flavor, roast the tomatoes and garlic before adding.

- Adjust lime juice and salt to taste.

- Best served fresh; guacamole browns quickly after preparation.
