Mango Pudding

A creamy and refreshing dessert made with ripe mangoes, milk, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for warm weather and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp gelatin or agar-agar powder
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Mint leaves or mango slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Puree the chopped mangoes in a blender until smooth.
  2. Dissolve the gelatin or agar-agar in warm water and let sit for a few minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the mango puree, sugar, milk, and heavy cream. Heat on low, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the dissolved gelatin mixture to the mango mixture and stir well until fully incorporated. Do not boil.
  5. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract if using. Let it cool slightly.
  6. Pour the mixture into serving cups or bowls. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves or mango slices before serving if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet mangoes for best flavor.
  • You can substitute agar-agar for a vegetarian option.
  • Adjust sugar depending on the sweetness of mangoes.
