- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups (220g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp matcha powder (culinary grade)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips or chunks
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips or chunks.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
