Meatball Sliders

These meatball sliders are the perfect appetizer or snack, featuring juicy meatballs smothered in marinara sauce and melted cheese, all tucked into soft slider buns.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Roll mixture into 12 equal-sized meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. While meatballs bake, warm marinara sauce in a saucepan.
  6. Once cooked, add meatballs to the marinara and coat evenly.
  7. Slice slider buns and place bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  8. Place a meatball on each bun, spoon extra sauce over, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Place top buns on and brush with melted butter mixed with Italian seasoning and Parmesan.
  10. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  11. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • Use store-bought or homemade marinara sauce.
  • These sliders can be prepped ahead and baked before serving.
