Millionaire Peach Salad Recipe

Enjoy this luxurious Millionaire Peach Salad, combining creamy ingredients with juicy peaches and marshmallows. Perfect for gatherings and easy to prepare!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) sliced peaches, drained and chopped
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Drain and Chop Peaches: Open the can of peaches, drain the syrup, and chop the peach slices into bite-sized pieces. Drain the crushed pineapple thoroughly to avoid excess liquid in the salad.
  2. Combine Pudding Mix and Whipped Topping: In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with the whipped topping. Stir until the mixture is well blended and smooth.
  3. Incorporate Sour Cream: Gently fold in the sour cream into the pudding and whipped topping mixture until evenly distributed. This adds a tangy richness to the salad.
  4. Add Fruit and Add-Ins: Gently fold in the chopped peaches, drained crushed pineapple, mini marshmallows, sweetened shredded coconut, and chopped pecans. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and evenly distributed.
  5. Add Vanilla and Chill: Stir in the vanilla extract for added flavor. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • Ensure all the fruit is well-drained to prevent the salad from becoming too watery.
  • For a firmer texture, you can chill the salad overnight.
  • For a healthier version, use sugar-free pudding mix and light whipped topping.
  • You can substitute fresh peaches for canned peaches when in season for a fresher taste.
  • If you prefer a nut-free version, omit the pecans or substitute them with sunflower seeds or additional marshmallows.
  • For an extra touch of sweetness, add a few maraschino cherries.
  • This salad can be made a day ahead and kept refrigerated.
