Oatmeal Energy Balls

These no-bake oatmeal energy balls are a quick and healthy snack made with oats, nut butter, honey, and mix-ins. They’re perfect for on-the-go fuel, post-workout bites, or a wholesome treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, flaxseed, and salt.
  2. Add peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips and shredded coconut if using.
  4. Chill mixture in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to make rolling easier.
  5. Once chilled, roll into 1-inch balls using your hands.
  6. Store energy balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

  • You can substitute nut butter with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
  • Add chia seeds or protein powder for extra nutrition.
  • Drizzle with melted chocolate for a dessert-like treat.
