Sloppy Joe Sliders

Sloppy Joe Sliders are mini sandwiches filled with a savory, slightly sweet ground beef mixture, perfect for parties, gatherings, or a fun family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (for brushing buns)
  • Optional: shredded cheddar cheese or sliced pickles

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 5–10 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture evenly over the buns.
  7. Top with shredded cheese or pickles if desired, then place the top buns over the filling.
  8. Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter.
  9. Bake for 10–15 minutes until the buns are toasted and the filling is heated through.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can prepare the beef mixture ahead of time and reheat before assembling.
  • Swap ground beef with ground turkey for a lighter version.
