Spider Deviled Eggs

Spider Deviled Eggs are a spooky and fun Halloween twist on the classic deviled eggs, featuring black olives arranged to look like spiders on top of creamy yolk filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1012 black olives (whole, pitted)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and cool eggs in cold water. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  5. Cut half of the black olives in half lengthwise to make the spider bodies.
  6. Slice the remaining olives into thin strips to create spider legs (8 per spider).
  7. Place one olive half in the center of each egg as the spider body and arrange 8 olive slices around it to form legs.
  8. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • You can use a piping bag for a neater yolk filling.
  • Consider adding paprika or chives for extra flavor.
  • Use kitchen tweezers or toothpicks to position the olive legs easily.
