Starry Night Cheesecake

Starry Night Cheesecake is a visually stunning dessert that combines a rich, creamy cheesecake base with vibrant swirls of galaxy-inspired colors, perfect for parties or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Food coloring (blue, purple, black)
  • Edible glitter or star-shaped sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of the pan to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in sour cream until smooth.
  5. Divide batter into three bowls. Tint each with a different food color (blue, purple, black).
  6. Spoon colored batters alternately into crust to create a swirled galaxy effect. Use a toothpick to gently swirl the colors.
  7. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until center is almost set. Turn off oven, crack door open, and let cheesecake cool for 1 hour.
  8. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, top with edible glitter or star-shaped sprinkles if desired.

Notes

  • Use gel food coloring for more vibrant colors.
  • Let the cheesecake fully chill for the best texture and appearance.
  • Wrap bottom of the springform pan in foil if baking in a water bath to prevent leaks.
