- 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, melted chocolate, and sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Fold in flour until just combined.

- Pour the batter into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the pie cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
