Tiramisu Cups

Individual Tiramisu Cups are a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream, served in individual cups for easy portioning and presentation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1216 ladyfinger cookies
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  4. Combine the brewed coffee or espresso with the coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer them in the bottom of serving cups.
  6. Spoon a layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat layers as needed, ending with the mascarpone cream on top.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor.
  9. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • Do not over-soak the ladyfingers; a quick dip is enough.
  • Can be made a day in advance for deeper flavor.
  • Alcohol can be omitted for a kid-friendly version.
